Meet Rose
Hello, I'm Rosemary Wilcox, but most people know me as Rose.
My yoga journey began with a love for the physical practice and breathwork. Meditation didn't come quite as naturally, but my curiosity about yoga continued to grow. I initially pursued yoga teacher training not because I planned to teach, but because I wanted to deepen my own practice and better understand the philosophy behind it.
To my surprise, I discovered how much I enjoyed teaching and sharing my yoga practice with others.
Since beginning my teaching journey in 2012, my practice and approach have continued to evolve. As I worked with people of different ages, abilities, and life experiences, I wanted to better understand how to support their individual needs. That desire led me to study Yoga for Seniors and Thai Yoga Bodywork and eventually, Yoga Therapy.
Today, as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), I bring together years of experience, continued education, and a genuine appreciation for the individuality of each person.
I especially enjoy working with older adults, beginners, individuals living with Parkinson's disease, and those seeking a gentler, more personalized approach.
My philosophy is simple: meet people where they are. Yoga isn't about achieving the perfect pose. It's about cultivating awareness, exploring possibilities, and finding practices that support everyday life.
Whether we're working together through Yoga Therapy, Thai Yoga Bodywork, or a yoga class, my goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you feel comfortable being exactly where you are.
And just as my journey began with curiosity, I continue to learn, explore, and grow alongside the people I have the privilege of working with.
